HUD chief foresees a 'whiter' Big Easy

A Bush Cabinet officer predicted this week that New Orleans likely will never again be a majority black city, and several black officials are outraged.
Alphonso R. Jackson, secretary of housing and urban development, during a visit with hurricane victims in Houston, said New Orleans would not reach its pre-Katrina population of "500,000 people for a long time," and "it's not going to be as black as it was for a long time, if ever again."
As some of you may know, I was troll-rated off of Daily Kos back in October 2004 for thinking it was funny that "SNL" mocked Kerry in a debate as a flip-flopper. Literally. No joke.
If any of you have read any of my stuff, you know that I have written extensively about the subject. And, when I stated that not only was it funny but it was also correct, I was troll-bombed into oblivion. Interestingly, none of the people who broke the rating rules were removed from the site. But, that is another story for another day.
